Greetings from San Diego!

Can I be honest with you for a second? This video content game is a grind.

I’m currently rolling out all the Calgary Stampede content, editing the Las Vegas series, fixing bugs on Facebook, planning the next trip, and filming updates for Patreon.

Since last year’s setback, I've been stuck in this funky/frustrating phase of uncertainty, but now I’m finally starting to get my groove back.

I’m trying to scale the stories I can share without having to actually be on the road 24/7.

After traveling the world freely for the past 14 years, I’m now in the “Level Up Your Business” era.

It all comes down to hiring the right people to help.

Patience, perseverance, and surrounding myself with effective people - that’s the formula right now.

I have three primary pillars:

1. Tell interesting and impactful stories through video.
2. Provide value to the people who follow along.
3. Strengthen and scale revenue streams.

You often see the polished final product, but this is the reality behind the lens.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still my dream job, but dreams don’t work unless you do.

COOL THING IN TRAVEL

If everything goes well with this Travel Alberta x Calgary Stampede campaign, my goal is to sweet talk them into connecting me with another Canadian staple - the Rocky Mountaineer!

The Rocky Mountaineer offers luxury train journeys through Western Canada and the American Southwest.

They call it “The majesty of the Rockies meets the comfort of luxury train travel.”

I know, luxury train travel doesn’t exactly align with the “Travel Deeper” brand, but it looks awesome – sometimes you just gotta treat yourself, right?

Insane panoramic views of the Rockies? Check.

Locally sourced gourmet food? Check.

Door-to-door accommodations? Check.

My plan is to do the Vancouver to Banff expedition, so make sure you like, comment, subscribe, share, and all that so they invite me back to Canada, haha!

RESOURCE OF THE WEEK

As I hinted at in last week's email, the Calgary Stampede is kicking off this summer and I just dropped a brand-new video on my YouTube channel "Surviving My First Calgary Stampede".

It'll transport you right into the heart of this western extravaganza!

Decked out in my first custom-fitted cowboy hat and boots; I go behind the scenes with the rodeo bull riders, connect with Canada’s indigenous community, and eat WAY too much food inside the festival.

Also, I can’t forget to mention that I got to see Shaq (aka DJ Diesel) perform live, which was… interesting – you gotta see his setup!
